HOT: Mike Tyson hugged his face and cried not because he lost to Jake Paul but because he would have to… see more

After admitting he almost died from a stomach wound, Mike Tyson will have to undergo a medical examination to be granted permission to participate in a professional boxing match with Jake Paul in the US on November 15.

According to plan, the match between former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson (58 years old) and his junior Jake Paul (27 years old) will be held in Texas – USA on November 15.

Before the match, Mike Tyson attracted attention when he revealed that he had been in critical condition due to a stomach wound. That is the reason why the match with Jake Paul, originally scheduled for July 20, had to be postponed for nearly 4 months.

Mike Tyson (left) will have to undergo a medical examination to be licensed to fight Jake Paul in the US on the night of November 15.

“When I woke up, I was in the bathroom vomiting blood. I had lost more than 11kg in 11 days and could not eat anything but liquids, was exhausted and had to have a blood transfusion. The doctor said I had lost almost half my blood volume and almost died,” the former world heavyweight champion told the New York Times.

Mike Tyson’s “near-death” revelation has caught the attention of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (TDLR) – the licensing agency that organized the fight.

TDLR Communications Director Tela Goodwin Mange said Mike Tyson will have to undergo a thorough medical examination. A doctor appointed by TDLR, in addition to the medical examination, will be responsible for informing the 58-year-old former boxer of the possible risks. The possibility of the fight being canceled if Mike Tyson’s health is not guaranteed is not ruled out.

For his part, Tyson said he had prepared carefully and shared many videos about his training process before facing Jake Paul.

Mike Tyson’s last fight was against Roy Jones Jr. on November 29, 2020, but it was an exhibition. This time, he fought Jake Paul, 31 years younger, in a professional boxing match.

While Paul is a famous American YouTuber, entered the boxing scene in 2020, had 11 professional fights, won 10 and lost 1.

The 27-year-old boxer boasted that he had earned about 40 million USD from his professional boxing career, and was about to defeat a world boxing legend (Mike Tyson).
